These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of OptimalLayout (the "Service"), available at www.optimallayout.com. By using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

OptimalLayout is an online tool that calculates optimized cutting layouts for sheet materials. The Service is provided "as is" and may evolve over time.

2. Accounts

Some features require an account. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for all activity under your account. You must provide accurate information and be at least 16 years old.

3. Free and paid tiers

The Service offers a free tier (supported by advertising) and may offer paid tiers with additional features. Limits and features of each tier are described on our pricing page and may change.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for unlawful purposes or to infringe others' rights.
• Attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, scrape at scale, or circumvent access controls of the Service.
• Upload malicious code or attempt to gain unauthorized access.
• Resell, sublicense or otherwise commercially exploit the Service without our written permission.

5. Your content

You retain ownership of the project data you enter. You grant us a limited license to store and process that data solely to provide the Service. You are responsible for the accuracy of the data you input.

6. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, logo and content, is owned by OptimalLayout and protected by intellectual property laws. The name "OptimalLayout" and its logo may not be used without our prior written consent.

7. Advertising

The free tier displays advertising provided by third parties such as Google AdSense. We do not endorse and are not responsible for the content of third-party ads.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind. Cutting calculations are produced by an automated algorithm and may contain errors. Always verify dimensions, kerf and material before cutting. You assume all risk of using the output of the Service.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, OptimalLayout shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data or materials, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us (if any) in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if required by law.

11. Changes to the Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced on this page. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands, without regard to conflict of law rules. Mandatory consumer protections of your country of residence remain unaffected.
